Enrique Vizcaya is beyond honored to be the President of the National Honor Society for the 2019-2020 school year. Outside of NHS, Enrique is also the Secretary of the Spanish National Honor Society, historian of Rotary’s Interact Club, and a member Lely’s tennis team. During his free time, Enrique is either watching a tv series, eating food, or purchasing new sneakers. In the future, Enrique hopes to attend college and major in political science with the end goal of becoming a lawyer. He is extremely excited for what is to come this year in NHS.

Amelia is pleased to be the parliamentarian for the Lely National Honor Society for the year of 2019-2020. Amelia is also Captain of the Lely Varsity Cheerleading team. Additionally, Amelia is Founder and President of the "We Mean Green" Club and President of Project Unify. She is the student body communications officer, and a member of the Lely Track and field Throwing team, as well as Mock trial. In her free time she works as a waitress at pelican Larry's and spends time with her friends. Amelia enjoys babysitting, spreading awareness about environmental conservation and spending time with her best friends in the special education class. Amelia Also enjoys Camp counseling in the summer time. In the future Amelia plans to pursue a degree in Psychology with the hopes of attending medical school and becoming a Child psychiatrist. Amelia is extremely excited for all that National Honor society is going to accomplish this year and hopes to be a positive contribution to a wonderful organization.

Katherine is the senior NHS parliamentarian and she is also a varsity swimmer at Lely High School. She enjoys to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family on her free time. Katherine works two jobs, and is currently saving up for college. After graduating, Katherine would like to major in biology and go into the dentistry field. In her free time she works at Hammock and Rookery Bay Golf Resort, and in the summer works at Sugden Park Waterski camp. McKinley plans to major in International relations with an emphasis on political economy focused in the Middle East. One day she hopes to work for the CIA and make a difference.

- Lily Rosenblum is proud to be the President of the Lely High School National Honor Society. Lily is also Co-President of Lely’s Key Club, and previously served as the Key Club Secretary. In her free time, Lily also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, babysitting throughout the year, and working at an ice cream shop in New Jersey during the summer. After high school, Lily hopes to study health science in college and eventually work in the medical field. - Lia Okenkova is the Secretary of NHS. Outside of NHS, Lia is President of Scholar Bowl, Student Body President, and Secretary of Mu Alpha Theta. Lia is involved in Key club and Academic Worldquest as well. Lia also does theatre and sings with the Naples Philharmonic Youth Chorus. She plans to study cognitive science in the future.
Treasurer: Cami Hennel
- Cami Henell holds the position of treasurer for Lely High School's National Honor Society for the 2018-2019 school year. Cami is a captain of the varsity cheerleading team. Additionally, she is a member of the Mock Trial team, where she is considered the “team mom” and was awarded Team MVP after the 2018 competition. Cami also participates in Project Unify where she gets to spend part of her Fridays with the amazing kids in the special education class. In the future, Cami hopes to pursue veterinary studies and partake in the efforts to conserve wildlife.

- Miranda Webb is excited to be Parliamentarian for Lely's National Honor Society. Miranda also serves as the Senior Class President, Debate Captain, and member of the Mock Trial team. Outside of school, Miranda coaches youth soccer for the Marco Island Charter Middle School Varsity Boys Soccer team and Optimist Club of Marco Island recreational soccer, she is a blog writer for a local nonprofit organization, and she volunteers at Naples Community Hospital doing data handling. In her free time, Miranda enjoys going to the beach and spending time with friends and family. In the future, Miranda hopes to study linguistics and ultimately become a lawyer.

President: Payton Krumholz
Payton Krumholz is the President of National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. Payton grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and moved to Marco Island in January of her Sophomore year. She has loved her experience at Lely and has enjoyed getting to meet new people and the Lely spirit. Payton has been a member of the Lely Varsity Softball team the past two seasons. She recently became a JW Marriott Marco Island employee and spends her weekends pool side with the Recreation Department. Payton will be pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management and hopes to travel the world with Marriott International Hotels after college graduation. In her free time she enjoys cheering on the New York Yankees and snuggling with her dog, Jeter. She also enjoys boating, paddleboarding and soaking up the sunny Florida weather! Payton is looking forward to her new position as President and is excited to work with her fellow National Honor Society to make a difference within the school and community. Vice President: Alberto Reategui Alberto Reategui is honored to be the current Vice-President of the Lely Chapter of the National Honor Society. Alberto would like to study Computer Engineering after he completes high school. He is a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the Ultimate Frisbee Club. During the summer, Alberto dedicates his time to volunteer at the Salvation Army, either in the pantry or the Fran Cohen Youth Center. Outside of school, one may find Alberto playing on the computer or outside playing sports with the neighbors. Overall, Alberto thanks his family and friends for all the support they have given him through the years. Secretary: Hector Gomez Hector Gomez is proud to be the Secretary for the 2017-2018 Lely Chapter of National Honor Society. Hector is a member of multiple clubs such as Scholar Bowl, Mu Alpha Theta, and Drama Club. He is studying to become a Biomedical Engineer or something in the same field. Hector also enjoys volunteering at NCH over the summer. During his free time he enjoys playing video games as well as spending time with his family. He is excited for his Senior year while at the same time scared for what’s to come. Hector hopes that he will succeed as Secretary and help better National Honor Society. Treasurer: Daniel Nguyen Daniel Nguyen is honored to hold the position of Treasurer for Lely High School's National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. Daniel Nguyen is a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team and is also apart of Mu Alpha Theta, Scholar Bowl, and the Drama Club. After his time at Lely High School, Daniel plans to attend college and to pursue a career in engineering. Parliamentarian: Pilar Forrest Pilar is a parliamentarian for Lely High School's National Honor Society. She also holds positions as the President of the Senior Class and Treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta alongside memberships in Scholar Bowl, Students for Progress, and Drama Club. Outside of school, Pilar volunteers for the Naples Zoo and Naples Art Association and she also interns for a local business where she specializes in social media management and advertisement. In her free time, Pilar loves to write, dance, and nap. Pilar hopes to pursue a career that combines technology with creative elements through a degree in Media or Cinematography. She is both nervous and excited for the upcoming year, but with her family and friends' loving support she is sure she can make it through. Parliamentarian: Nolan Hartz Nolan Hartz is honored to be a Parliamentarian for Lely High School’s National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. He enjoys playing in the band’s drumline/percussion section, as well as volunteering with animals at Domestic Animal Services. Nolan served as a Co-President for the 2016-2017 year of Lely’s Medical Club, and volunteered with the Key Club and Rotary Interact Club. In his free time, he enjoys reading dystopian novels and catching up on lost sleep. In years to come, Nolan aspires to study Criminology and eventually pursue a career as a criminal profiler in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. |

President: Kelsey Halaschak
Kelsey Halaschak is grateful for the opportunity to be the National Honor Society President. She has been a member of the Lely girls varsity track team since her freshman year. In track, she runs hurdles as her main events. Her junior year, she joined the swim team to try something new. She has been to regionals for both swimming and track; she hopes to qualify for regionals in track her senior year as well. She is very involved in the JROTC program at Lely. She is a member of the exhibition team, drill team, and raiders team. Recently, she has joined cross country in order to improve her running during the 5k run in the raiders competition. After her senior year, Kelsey plans to attend either University of Florida or Florida State University, with the goal of eventually entering the medical field. Vice President: Elizabeth Lopez-Lopez Elizabeth Lopez-Lopez is honored to have been chosen as Vice-President of the Lely High School chapter of the National Honor Society. Aside from NHS, Elizabeth is proud to be Co-President of Mu Alpha Theta, a member of the girls Cross Country team and Varsity Tennis team, Treasurer of Road Runners, and an avid volunteer around the school and community. This past summer Elizabeth spent her time volunteering with the NCH Physician Group, and working with the Florida Cancer Specialists. When free time is granted, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family. In the future, Elizabeth plan on pursuing a career in the medical field, and hopes to be able to attend a school outside of Florida. Secretary: Bethstyline Chery Bethstyline Chery is a proud member of the Lely JROTC Battalion and has recently been selected as the 2016-2017 Battalion Commander. She is also proud to be a member of the National Honor Society and as this year’s secretary hopes to help in anyway she can. Bethstyline is also the proud captain of the JROTC academic and leadership teams as well as a member of the JROTC drill team. Bethstyline is an avid reader and is very passionate about writing and literature. In regards to her future plans, Bethstyline would like to attend a four year college or university in pursuit of an english major. She would like to eventually move onto her master's degree and possibly a PhD in the english field. She hopes to find a career that she can fall in love with everyday. Treasurer: Emma Crawford Emma Crawford holds the position of Treasurer for Lely High School’s National Honor Society for the 2016-17 school year. Emma has been a proud swimmer for the varsity swim team for 3 years and member of the varsity tennis team for 4 years. She is also involved in Key Club as Editor and a member of Scholar Bowl. When not involved in sports or schoolwork, Emma enjoys practicing the violin and yoga. Emma plans to attend college and pursue a career in the medical field or engineering. She looks forward to the exciting school year and serving this chapter of the Lely National Honor Society. Fundraiser: Michaela Pinter Michaela Pinter is honored to be hold the position of Fundraiser for the National Honor Society. Michaela has been a proud member of the Lely High School Varsity Swim team for the past three years and is excited to lead the team during her senior year. She has made it to the Regional competition both years and hopes to reach States this year. During off-season, Michaela is the manager of the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team. Michaela is also the Vice President of the Lely STEM club. Aside from school, Michaela works two jobs and spends as much time possible volunteering at the Humane Society. In the little free time available, Michaela enjoys being around her friends and sleeping. After high school, Michaela hopes to attend prestigious university out of state in order to study Computer Science, probably. She is excited for the upcoming year as an officer in the National Honor Society. Parliamentarian: Ashton Greusel Ashton is honored to hold the parliamentarian position of the Lely High School National Honor Society. She enjoys spending time with her family and making new friends. Outside of the National Honor Society, she is active in other clubs. She is the President of the Student Government Association for the Senior Class of 2017 and the Captain of the Debate Team. Every accomplishment made by Ashton is in tribute to her two older sisters who are her examples in life. She is also an athlete for Lely High School; She is currently on the Swim Team. Ashton also has been an Assistant Teaching Artist and Education Intern for Gulfshore Playhouse for the last three years. She is currently hoping with all of her heart to attend the University of Florida in the fall. Diana Alas proudly occupies the position of NHS president. When not immersed in NHS, Diana dedicates her time to the Scholar Bowl and Mu Alpha Theta clubs, for whom she is captain and president. Diana is proud to be part of the Trojan family and thanks her older brothers and parents for making her strong, compassionate, and driven. Her hobbies include video making, programming, and reading a good book. Diana would like to attend a top engineering school to pursue a career in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science. Her heart lies in the mountains of Honduras at her grandmother’s farm, where she spent most of her childhood. Diana hopes to be an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and future innovator. She is looking forward to an amazing year with the National Honor Society.

Kenny Igarza is the incumbent president of the Lely high school chapter of the national honor society. Throughout his high school career, Kenny has been involved in the leadership aspect of political and cultural organizations such as teenage republicans and the foreign language society. Kenny was born in Cuba, but was raised in Italy, thus being able to fluently converse in Spanish, Italian, and French, besides English. In the future, he would like to attend a prestigious college to pursue a medical career and a fellowship in neurosurgery.
Kenny is also an active member of the community and enjoys engaging in debates during civic meetings. During his free time, Kenny enjoys swimming, watching movies, dedicating to the organizations he leads, and playing flute.
Kenny is usually prone to recommend people to be "colorful" and original.

Yanet Gomez is the National Honor Society Treasurer. Yanet enjoys spending her weekends with her family and relaxing at the beach with the companionship of a good book. Yanet tries to exceed in everything she tries by always putting her best effort to it. In the future, Yanet plans on going to an Ivy League college and studying medicine. Yanet enjoys helping people and thus encourages her peers to ask her for help if they ever need it. Yanet would like to share the following quote:

Yanet Gomez is the National Honor Society Treasurer. Yanet enjoys spending her weekends with her family and relaxing at the beach with the companionship of a good book. Yanet tries to exceed in everything she tries by always putting her best effort to it. In the future, Yanet plans on going to an Ivy League college and studying medicine. Yanet enjoys helping people and thus encourages her peers to ask her for help if they ever need it. Yanet would like to share the following quote:

Jessica Andrade is the National Honor Society Secretary. Jessica is a proud member of the US Elite Clubs National League for soccer, Captain for the Florida State A Team, and Captain for Lely’s varsity team. She is currently committed to play Division 1 soccer at Villanova university where she plans to earn a degree in Business Law. In her free time, Jessica likes to watch movies, visit with family, go cliff diving, and run with bulls in Portugal.

Beatriz Gonzalez is a Parliamentarian in National Honor Society. She is part of many organizations at Lely High School. Outside of school she volunteers her time at the public library, in addition to a part time job. During her free time she likes to create new recipes, watch movies, and spend time relaxing with her friends and family. In the future she would like to have a profession somewhere in the medical field. Beatriz would like to share the following quote: “When you’re a kid, they tell you it’s all… Grow up, get a job, get married, get a house, have a kid, and that’s it. But the truth is, the world is so much stranger than that. It’s so much darker. And so much madder. And so much better.”

Kevin Lopez Gomez is proud to be one of the two Parliamentarian for the Lely High School National Honor Society year of 2014 - 2015. Before he mastered the English and Spanish languages he first mastered Mixteco: a language native to Mexico. On his free time he enjoys the love for soccer and reading. Currently Kevin is volunteering for Americans for prosperity, something that he has enjoyed very much. Kevin plans to attend a prestigious four year university and focus on Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Kevin would also like to share a quote: "The only thing they can't take away from you is your education." - His brother.
